Goofy’s Great Big Feet

Goofy never worries about being sloppy.  He’ll wander about in his oldest things, not caring who sees him, as long as he feels comfortable.  One day, however, Mickey pointed out that he must have some new shoes before the winter weather arrived.  His old ones were too scruffy to wear any longer.  They had holes in the soles, holes in the toes, and the backs didn’t fit around Goofy’s heels at all
Goofy hated shopping, and he sighed as he made his way to the shoe shop with Mickey.
“Well!” gasped the shop assistant, measuring Goofy’s feet.  “I only hope I can help you, sir.  I’ll bring you my biggest sizes”.
The shop assistant looked among the largest boxes, and came back to Goofy carrying two.
“Try these shoes, sir, “ he said, opening  the bxes.
“This pair is large, and this pair is extra large.”
Goofy put on the large, and this pair, and walked about the shop.
“No,” he said. “My toes feel crushed.”
Then Goofy put on the extra large shoes.
“Ooo, ouch!” he grumbled. “They hurt me, too.  What am  I to do?  I ‘ll just have to go about barefoot! I wish I didn’t have such great, big feet.”
The shop assistant told Goofy that his new shoes would have to be special size called largest-of-all.  He would order them him, he said, but it would take some weeks before they arrived at the shop for Goofy to pick up.
Mickey was worried about what Goofy would do in the meantime.  Goofy could not wonder around for several weeks in his parent state.  Mickey watched the shop assistant packing the largest shoes back into their boxes, and he noticed that the boxes were even larger  than the shoes. Suddenly, Mickey  took the shoes out of their boxes. Mickey asked the shop assistant for some string, and with the boxes tied to his feet, Goofy could walk about happily.
“Now I have some shoes- sporty box shoes to last me until I get my largest-of-all-pair,” said Goofy. “Hurrah!”
