Silver and Gold

Uncle Scrooge had bought himself a telescope.  Night after night he would gaze through it at the starts, and people were beginning to talk.  Was Uncle Scrooge taking an interest in something OTHER than money ?
Donald Duck went too see him.  When he opened the door Uncle Scrooge looked starstruck! “You’re watching those stars much too much!” warned Donald.
“Bah! I suppose you’re right!” admitted the old duck, dizzily. “But what if I am? ”he snapped. “whose business is it, anyway ?”
“No one’s  Donald reassured him. “But aren’t you going to invite me in?”
“Very well, ”mattered the old duck.  And so they went inside.  The place was in a TERRIBLE mess.
“Uncle Scrooge,” said Donald sympathetically, “you  look as if you’ve had no sleep for a week.  What on earth have you been doing.?”
“I found a message on my doormat,” muttered the miser. “It told me that the stars were made out of the purest silver.”
“Whoever heard of such a thing!” chuckled Donald .”Let me see this note.”
So the old skinflint showed Donald the grubby note.
“This is Beagle Boy handwriting!” declared Donald.
“While you’ve been staring through your telescope they’ve probably…”
Uncle Scrooge ran like greased lightning into his gold room.  “Help! Police! Robbery! Came startled quacks.
“What happened ?” cried Donald.
“They.ve stolen a whole chest of gold,” muttered Uncle Scrooge had more money than he’d ever need.  “There’s a lesson here.  If you hadn’t been so greedy that you wanted to steal the silver from the stars, your own gold would still be here !”
